You definately have much more patience than me.
TMF,
A hundred of us could comment on how good or bad your fly looks. What matters is what the big 'bow thinks.
So, have you just started tying? I'm thinking I really need to start. Any pointers on how to start? (book, video, class?)
These are my very first ever flies. Already I'm getting better. Today, I tied a #14 Adams that looks more like a drunken wasp, but everything is neatly tied and finished well.
A friend lent me the tools and supplies as well as an excellent book with lots of color photos and mostly simple descriptions.
My advice to a beginner: don't buy a whip finisher. It's impossible. Other than that, I've found it helpful to borrow the tools and supplies so I know what I NEED versus what I can evetually get.
Also, there are thousands of online tutorials for individual flies. Some stink, some rule. my computer desk is my fly tying desk, so I can research while I tie.
Thanks for writing.
