Applying the Scriptures VI

"...behold, I will send swarms of flies upon thee..."
-Exodus 8:21

Playing Moses to my Pharaoh, a friend has greatly increased my supply as well as my chances for success.

Hopes rising like the evening hatch.

Here's to trout and moving water, the cause and cure for madness and the search for deeper meaning. Kippis!

Cheers The Mad Fishicist,
For the search and for the madness!

A Bunch of Trout-Flies

Here's a half-a-dozen flies,
Just about the proper size ...
Every day he goes a-fishing
I'll be with him in well-wishing. ...

The pink grubs are going with me on May 3 on a steelhead hunt in Yakutat, AK. That's the first guarantee. Before that, I may have a window sometime in April between when the ice breaks on the Lowe River and an impressive avalanche blows out the river and makes it muddy and unfishable. Sometimes the avalanche happens first, which means there is no window. Once we caught fish for a day in clear water with icy banks. The next day it was a muddy, debris filled raging river with no bank at all. Awesome to see how it all works. Too bad about the fishing.
